Lunchtime
All pupils have lunch together at 12:05pm in the hall. Cooked
school dinners are available at £1.65. These are nutritionally balanced
meals, prepared on the premises. Alternatively pupils can bring their own
packed lunches. The envelope choice system will continue for the
time being.

more than two miles away.

Homework
As part of the curriculum, pupils are expected to complete a certain
amount of homework each week. Younger children are given a plastic homework bag to keep
books and materials clean and safe. They will also have a homework
diary. Cloth schoolbags can also be purchased from the school at the cost of £3. We hope that parents can support the work of the school by setting
aside time to help their child with homework.

Absence
If for any reason your child is absent, please fill in an absence

Health
School Nurse sees P1 new entrants to check height, weight, vision
etc if this has not been done before entry to school.
There is a formal health interview
for pupils in Primary 7.
Any pupil with a specific health problem is seen at a regular review by the
school doctor (Dr Bryce) or the school nurse.
Dental screening takes place once a year for primaries 1 and
7.

Positive Behaviour
The staff have been working hard with the pupils
and Alison Davidson, Behaviour Support Teacher, to put in place rules, rewards and consequences which will form our behaviour
policy at Coldingham. It is really important that everyone uses the same
strategies to enable all pupils to get the most out of their school experience.
Your support in this is much appreciated.
